Training- WITHOUT Supplemental Reference Books shown or Certificate:

Question:
Why on earth would someone want a training course but WITHOUT
supplemental reference books or a Certificate? Answer:
Students who wish to further their knowledge and skills in Medical
Transcription but may already have reference books they wish to consult
(i.e., Nurses, Unit Secretaries); OR perhaps current MTs who are locked
into one work type with their employer (Hospitals often do this) and who
may also already have access to or own a comprehensive MT library, yet
who have no desire/need for a certificate, etc. would be interested in
this ordering option. THIS OPTION DOES, HOWEVER, INCLUDE THE
MTPRACTICE REFERENCE GUIDE AND THE TRANSCRIBER ALONG WITH ALL TRAINING
MODULES AND THEIR CASSETTES. THE STUDENT IS NOT TESTED FOR
COMPETENCY IN THIS ORDERING OPTION.
This
is everything EXCEPT FOR THE CERTIFICATE OR SUPPLEMENTAL MEDICAL REFERENCE
BOOKS: This takes the student from A to Z in transcription WITHOUT
THE NEED FOR TESTING OR CERTIFICATE ISSUANCE. This will cover all of the work types and
give all dictation work
type practice. The MTPractice modules were created as an affordable, accelerated study, job specific,
self-guided, self-contained correspondence training to be completed in
five (5) months (or LESS) when administered in their entirety (learning all
modules), combined total instruction and transcription time. Of course,
the modules
may also be studied individually as a job-advancement aid and are used by
experienced transcriptionists seeking job upgrading/advancement training
by learning additional report types. MTPractice will consider the student
purchasing this option as an 'independent study
student' under this purchase/education option.

 | Course of Instruction: The MTPractice Training
Modules offer hands-on training in the 'Basic Four' Employable Work Types.
The 'Basic Four' work types are used in both the hospital setting and in
doctor's offices. Each module
contains complete reports dictated on standard cassettes, a hard copy printout
of each dictated report, a sample 'preferred format' template diskette suitable
for 'Word', the MTPractice Medical Transcription Reference Guide and the
MTPractice Detailed Report Instructions. The
'Basic Four' work types consist of History and Physical Examinations,
Consultations, Operative and Procedure Notes, and Discharge Summaries. The MTPractice modules also offer supplemental practice in specialty
reports, including: Emergency Room
Reports, Clinic Notes, Follow-up/SOAP Notes, and Miscellaneous Reports, plus
Tests, Biopsies, and Study Reports. Also
included in the complete MTPractice set is the MTPractice Word Expansion Module,
the cassette tape transcriber unit, and our own MTPractice Transcription
Reference Guide, which addresses basic medical transcription, report logs,
punctuation, dosages, abbreviations, headers, AutoCorrect, dangling lines,
addendum, spacing, symbols, hyphenation, capitalization, medical word review,
prefixes and suffixes, report logs, and transcription employers, plus much more. |
The self-guided training offered for
the
above report work types in addition to the exposure to the terms and terminology
used in the transcription of these reports readies the graduate student for
entry into the very lucrative field of Medical Transcription which has an ever-increasing
need for on-site (in facility) and off-site (at home) transcriptionists. DEMAND
