MTPractice Transcription uses only the most current encryption technology to protect your patient's confidential healthcare information. We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol with 128-bit encryption which means information transmitted between your computer and our server is encrypted for security. This encryption prevents anyone else from seeing the sensitive healthcare information. You can be sure you are communicating with our secure server because of the gold lock in the address bar of your browser window which appears on your private login site.   MTPractice additionally maintains strict HIPAA-compliance on your reports because we know healthcare information is privileged and proprietary, and/or may include confidential patient information which is covered under but not limited to the Privacy Act, 5 USC 552(a), and/or the Health Insurance Portability and Accounting Act (HIPAA, PL 104-191) and various implementing regulations.  Healthcare information being personal and sensitive is treated accordingly thus; it is protected in accordance with all applicable HIPAA provisions and maintained in a safe, secure, and confidential manner at all times.
